I have very eclectic interests. From Italian cooking to collecting English silver. From bike riding to art. I am an fan of folk music, with a focus on pre-1970s work. I also collect wristwatches. I have been an amateur radio operator since I was 16 years old, which was a long time ago. I have visited a Dunkin' Donuts at 4AM, to learn how to put the jelly into a donut.
After I wrote my first computer program, I said I knew everything there was to know about computers.At that time, I was as close to the truth as I as I have ever been.
I have two children and two grandchildren. My wife is a super-model and worships me.
|Profession||Retired Senior Scientist|
In 1984, when AT&T was split in multiple parts, Bell Laboratories was also split into two. I work for a company which originally was one of the two parts.
My title says I am a "Senior Scientist", but I am really a software engineer.
Most of the projects I get involved with are prototypes of some new high speed optical technology device or system.
